NRBC Bank Holds Half-Yearly Business Conference 2026 NRBC Bank PLC held its Half-Yearly Business Conference 2026 on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at a hotel in Dhaka. The Chairman of the Bank Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania attended the conference as the Chief Guest. The conference was chaired by Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, Managing Director & CEO of NRBC Bank. Md. Nurul Haque, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee; Muhammad Emdad Ullah, FCA, FCMA, CPA, Chairman of the Audit Committee; Independent Directors Md. Abul Bashar, Md. Anwar Hossain and Barrister Md. Shafiqur Rahman; Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan, DMD & COO; and Md. Shaheen Howlader, DMD & CBO, were present as Special Guests. All Division Heads, Zonal Heads and Branch Managers of 109 branches of the Bank participated in the conference. Addressing the conference, Chairman Md. Ali Hossain Prodhania said that ensuring good governance, transparency and accountability at every level is essential to building a sustainable bank. “We are working towards achieving these objectives. Our foremost responsibility is to ensure the highest level of security for depositors’ funds,” he said. He directed the Branch Managers to undertake specific and effective plans for the recovery of classified loans during the remaining period of the year. He further said that as a fourth-generation bank, NRBC Bank is currently maintaining a leading position among its peer banks across various performance indicators. The Bank’s deposits, operating income and operating profit have continued to demonstrate positive growth, he added. The Chairman also emphasized increasing lending to the CMSME sector and conducting banking operations with greater transparency. He urged the Bank to expand Bangla QR, digital banking services and remittance services to further enhance financial inclusion and customer convenience. Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, Managing Director & CEO of NRBC Bank, said that the Bank must move forward by continuously improving the quality of customer service. “We need to increase deposits by earning customers’ trust and satisfaction through fast, secure and efficient digital services,” he said. He further stated that ensuring disciplined loan disbursement and recovery in compliance with applicable rules and regulations would help strengthen the Bank’s financial foundation. Dr. Touhidul Alam Khan also emphasized the need to advance digital banking, build a cashless economy and promote inclusive banking initiatives in the greater interest of the country.
