NRBC Bank Holds Strategic Business and Growth Review Conference in Chattogram NRBC Bank recently organized a Business Review Meeting for its branches and sub-branches in the Chattogram Region. The conference was held at a hotel in Chattogram with the participation of senior management and regional business leaders. Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, FCMA, Managing Director & CEO of NRBC Bank, attended the event as the Chief Guest. Among others present were Md. Shaheen Howlader, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer, Kazi Md. Safayet Kabir, Head of Chattogram Zone, along with head of branches and sub-branches across the region. Addressing at the conference, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan stressed the importance of recovering non-performing loans and promoting business growth in MSME sectors. He said the bank must reduce the NPL rate to a reasonable level in line with Bangladesh Bank guidelines. He urged leveraging digital technology to accelerate growth and improve customer service, stating, “Bankers must adopt inclusive banking strategies to ensure accessible financial services for all segments of society.” He also emphasized the need to raise public awareness about digital payment systems—particularly Bangla QR—and called on regional bankers to take a proactive role in advancing the vision of a cashless Chattogram. Speaking at the conference, Md. Shaheen Howlader, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer, highlighted Chattogram's immense potential as the country's leading commercial hub. He encouraged participants for expanding the Bank's customer base and contributing to sustainable business growth. The conference reviewed the Chattogram region’s business performance and outlined strategic initiatives to secure targeted NPL recoveries and drive future growth through customer-centric services, digital innovation, and expanded financial inclusion.
