Bangabandhu Parishad, Russia celebrates 101st Birth Anniversary of Bangabandhu and National Children’s Day

Bangabandhu Parishad, Russia has celebrated 101st birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day. On Saturday, 20th March ,President of Bangabandhu Parishad Russia and Director of NRBC Bank Rafikul Islam Mia Arzoo presided over the program while the Honorable Ambassador of Bangladesh to Russia Kamrul Ahsan was connected to the program virtually as Chief Guest. General Secretary of Bangabandhu Parishad and Chairman of NRBC Bank SM Parvez Tamal attended the program virtually from Bangladesh. People from different profession of Russia attended the program. The speakers discussed about the versatile life of the Father of the Nation and emphasized on the principles followed by him whole through his life. They also expressed their eagerness to propagate the principles of the Father of the Nation among the future generation of the country. Besides, the contribution of the then Soviet Union on the liberation war of Bangladesh was also discussed here. The speakers also focused on the first visit of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to Moscow after the independence of Bangladesh. Different timely efforts of the present Government and the contributions of the NRBs to the economy of Bangladesh were also discussed during the program.The participants made firm conviction about developing the economical and bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and Russia. An essay writing competition was arranged on the life of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Russian language. Evgenia Konareva(1st),Sofia Kutepova and Maria Korobovskaya(Combined 2nd position) were awarded and also the cover of the book containing the essays was unveiled during the program
