NRBC Bank stands by Arafat, the first Bangladeshi participant in ‘Ironman World Championship’

NRB Commercial Bank Limited, as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR) initiative, has given a specialized racing bi-cycle worth Tk.6.50 lac to Mr. Mohammad Shamsuzzaman Arafat, the first ever participant from Bangladesh in Ironman World Championship which shall be held in Hawaii, USA. Mr. Khondoker Rashed Maqsood, the Managing Director & CEO of the Bank handed over the bi-cycle to Mr. Arafat at the Head Office premises of the Bank on 24th April 2019, Wednesday. Mr. Harunur Rashid, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mr. Md. Ruhul Amin, Head of Public Relations Division and Mr. Mohammad Saiful Islam, Assistant Vice President, Sustainable Finance Unit of the Bank was also present in the ceremony. Previously, Mohammad Shamsuzzaman Arafat participated in Ironman Malaysia as the first ever Bangladeshi athlete and successfully completed the series of challenges including 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.2 km running at a stretch in 12 hours 43 minutes 27 seconds.
